ISO 20387 Biobanking

TAF developed and provided the biobanking accreditation service based on ISO 20387 for which accredited biobank enhanced its competence, impartiality, and consistent operation following ISO 20387 and relevant requirements. At the same time, it improves the quality of the accredited biobank and encourages the confidence of parties of interest in the accredited biobank.

Before application, applicants are advised to read the TAF document “Biobanking Accreditation Service Manual (TAF-BB-A01)” to better understand relevant requirements, and the application process and procedures to facilitate the accreditation process.

Please refer to the TAF document "Biobanking Accreditation Item Code Table (TAF-BB-D01)" for details about the categories of the biobanking accreditation program.

Regardless of the size, all legally registered domestic and foreign organizations, which could be military, public, private, and academic research institutions and their affiliated entities, that have designated personnel to perform biobanking activities based on the established management system in an appropriate space with specific resources, can file applications for biobank accreditation by the person in charge.

The relevant documents of the biobanking accreditation service can be obtained from the TAF website. For any further questions, please get in touch with our staff responsible for biobanking accreditation service in TAF Laboratory Accreditation Department II.
